* The Barkers' Travis, Shanna Split! Drummer Travis Barker has filed for divorce from his wife and Meet the Barkers costar Shanna Moakler, People has learned exclusively. "I can confirm that Travis filed this morning," Barker's rep, Dvora Vener, tells People. Through her publicist, Moakler tells People, "My only concern right now is for the welfare and best interests of my children." Barker, 30, plays drums for the band the Transplants as well as for blink-182, which is on indefinite hiatus. Moakler, 31, is a former Miss USA who has appeared in films including Big Momma's House 2 and Pauly Shore is Dead.They were married  in a Gothic, Nightmare Before Christmas-inspired ceremony on Halloween eve in 2004 and have two children: son Landon, 2, and daughter Alabama, 7 months. Moakler also has a daughter, Atiana, 7, with her ex-fiancé, boxer Oscar de la Hoya.

*Laguna Beach Stars L.C. & Jason Split! Laguna Beach stars Lauren "L.C." Conrad and Jason Wahler have split up, People has confirmed. "Its true. Lauren broke up with him last week," Conrad's rep, Nicole Perez, tells People. Being single isn't slowing Conrad down a bit: The 20-year-old, who now appears on The Hills, took a trip to Las Vegas last weekend with her girlfriends, including Hills pal Heidi Montag. Meanwhile, Wahler, 19, partied in Los Angeles over the weekend at Les Deux with Laguna pal Stephen Colletti. Wahler, wearing Adidas track pants and a t-shirt, got wild on the dance floor, according to a source. "He was all over the place," says an onlooker, "Every time I saw him, he was talking to a different girl." Wahler's partying ways contributed to the couple's breakup, a source tells People. This is not the first time they've split. The pair broke up last August, then reunited. "We're pretty serious now," Conrad told People in May. As for the future, Conrad plans to return to L.A.'s Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in the fall, and will film a second season of The Hills.

*Kristin Cavallari & Brody Jenner Break Up! Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari, 19, and her boyfriend, Brody Jenner, 22, have split, People has confirmed. "Yes, Brody and I broke up," Cavallari tells People. "It's just hard right now because I am working all the time. We're still good friends though." The off-and-on couple, who met through Laguna Beach costar Talan Torriero, originally broke up in the fall, but got back together shortly afterward. In between spending time with Jenner, (the son of Olympian Bruce Jenner), Cavallari was spotted several times with Nick Lachey, but friends told People at the time the relationship was "not anything serious."

*Jessica Simpson: Affair Isn't About Nick! Jessica Simpson's next album, A Public Affair, is set for release Aug. 29 – and though the title may make it sound like it's about the spotlight placed on her crumbling marriage to Nick Lachey, she insists that isn't the case. "A Public Affair is a play on words," Simpson, 26, tells MTV News. "It's not about what you think it's going to be about." Granted, she admits, "People probably expected (it to be about Lachey) because of everything going on in my life, but it's not about him at all." Instead, she says, "It's about me going out with my girlfriends and forgetting everything that's around me, which is paparazzi, and just having a fun night. Because (paparazzi) can ruin a night." That's not to say that Lachey didn't serve as the inspiration for at least one track on the album, Simpson reveals.

*McPhee's Broken Foot Revealed! Katharine McPhee rejoins the American Idols Live tour after her three-week bout with laryngitis. Kellie Pickler, Katharine McPhee and Mandisa goofed off in Sunris, FL, on August 5. McPhee tripped and fractured her foot backstage at an August 1 concert while sprinting to see Pickler’s performance. “I’m a hobbler on the stage!” she jokes to Us.

*LICENSE TO PLAY!Britney Spears, with son Sean at a Hollywood recording studio, invests in some early driving lessons for the 11-month-old. Workers there unloaded a mini Cadillac Escalade – which costs about $300 – after the two arrived Tuesday.

*Angelina Jolie: I'll Adopt Another Child! Angelina Jolie, in her first U.S. interview since daughter Shiloh Nouvel was born last month, says she will adopt another child.
"Next, we'll adopt," the actress says in an interview to air Tuesday on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360, the New York Post reports. Jolie's two other children, 4-year-old Maddox and 16-month-old Zahara, were adopted from Cambodia and Ethiopia, respectively. Her next child will be from another country, she says, although she hasn't decided which one or whether she's hoping to adopt a boy or a girl. "It's going to be the balance of what would be the best for Mad and for Z right now," she tells Cooper.

*Jessica: I Like a Man with Imagination! Jessica Simpson may be living single, but she knows what she's looking for: "A guy with a great imagination sends me through the rafters," she tells Maxim. "I love it!" Simpson, 25, the magazine's July cover girl, also reveals her smooching style. "I love to kiss with my eyes open," she says, "because I can take in the entire situation and know if I'm enjoying it or not." *Jessica Simpson & Jared Leto: Spring Fling? Jessica Simpson, who will release her new single "Public Affair" on June 27, seems to be engaging in a rather public flirtation with Jared Leto. "They're an item," a source close to Leto tells People in its new issue.
Four nights later, Leto partied solo at New York City's club Plumm, then headed to Double Seven, where he met up with Simpson, 25. "They were hanging all over each other," says a witness. Still, a source close to Simpson tells People, "Jessica is not dating anyone," and the singer's rep insists, "She is single." Adds Leto's rep, "There is no truth to these rumors."

*Paris Hilton: I Like Being Single! Paris Hilton's been singing the praises of being single this week. On Monday's Late Show with David Letterman, Hilton said she was content being single for another five years – until she's 30. "How about mid-30's?" suggested Letterman. Continuing on this theme, on Tuesday Hilton announced on Live With Regis and Kelly that she's "single for the first time" in her life – and loving it. "I always have a boyfriend all the time, so I've never really got to know me and, like, have time for myself because I spend all my energy on the boyfriend," said Hilton."I'm a very strong woman. I don't need a man. I can be on my own," Hilton told Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa. As for her rivalry with her former best pal Richie, Hilton said she hopes she and her costar will patch things up. "I've known her 20 years," Hilton said. "I look at baby pictures. It makes me sad that she's, you know – we're going through something right now and we'll make up one day."

*Paris & Lindsay's Dance-Off! After a brief moment of peace, it seems that Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan are on the outs again. The rift started Monday at New York City club Butter, when Hilton confronted Lohan about dating her ex, Stavros Niarchos. Then, in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, the ladies had a different kind of battle at the Big Apple hot spot, Stereo – a dance-off. It began after the hotel heiress arrived at the club where Lohan was helping a pal deejay an '80s music set. Eventually, Lohan and Hilton ended up in the VIP section where both stars danced for hours. "Neither wanted to leave and it kept going," a source tells us. "No one was going to leave before the other."
Still, the feuding duo never even acknowledged each other. "They were really dancing, non-stop. It was funny," the source adds. "They didn't say a word to each other, but they were literally a foot-and-a-half away from each other the entire time."
